Instrument Instructors are mentors who are responsible for teaching a specific instrument to the campers. Instructors should have experience in music and the instrument they are assigned to teach. Students will vary in age and ability. The main goal of instruction is to meet each camper where they’re at and prepare them for the Showcase. Instructors are positive and encouraging! Instructors prepare campers to successfully play the one song they write during camp.

Instrument Instructors are asked to collaborate with Camp Coordinators and other Instructors to create the curriculum for their students. Instructors will meet at least once prior to camp and are expected to communicate through email before camp week to discuss the curriculum to be taught during instruction hours. Instructors are encouraged to help set up instruction rooms and get organized the Sunday before Camp Week starts.

Instructors may also volunteer as Band Coaches, Workshop Leaders, or Camp Support. Instructors are encouraged, but not required, to attend the end-of-week Showcase.
